Victoria Falls Hotel
The internationally acclaimed Victoria Falls Hotel is set in acres of private gardens, and was established in 1904. For over 90 years visiting members of Royal families, Heads of State, celebrities, authors, journalists and poets, have preferred to stay at the Victoria Falls Hotel where they are assured of total privacy, comfort and care.

All rooms are well appointed, cool and comfortable – each room is air-conditioned, with every modern amenity. The beautifully appointed Edwardian swimming pool, surrounded by lush gardens and exotic trees, give total privacy.
Earth Lodge
Earth Lodge is a sanctuary. Uniquely so, as it is for both humans and animals. For the former it is a retreat to the wilderness. For the latter, part of a vast conservation known as Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve. The lodge’s organic architecture is completely respectful of the environment. Whilst submerged in nature, its size and form never intrude on its magnificent host. The entire lodge features an unusual, unadorned finish that has been achieved by blending natural elements such as straw, stone and pigment into the cement plaster. The natural bush vegetation that grows right up to the lodge building further enhances this natural feel.

The style of the unique architecture was inspired by ‘Earth Shelter Architecture’ from the Middle Ages, where the buildings are excavated into the slopes of the site, and the sand and plants are put back onto the roofs. The result is what has been termed by a visiting conservationist ‘the most ecologically-sensitively-designed lodge in Africa’. The buildings merge so well into the landscape, they are virtually invisible.
Selati Camp
To visit Selati Camp is to travel back in time. Small, exclusive and brimming with history, colonial elegance and African legend, the camp is perched near the historic Selati Railway line after which it was named. Fashioned in the colonial, ‘Out of Africa’ style, Selati nestles under majestic Acacia Trees lining the Msuthlu River. Situated between the Sabie and Sand Rivers, Selati lies on an animal migration path, with game traversing between the Kruger National Park and Sabi Sand Reserve. This daily search for water and food is an ancient rhythm and here it happens right around you as you sip your sundowner or wake to a dawn chorus of hundreds of bushveld birds.

Nights at Selati are quiet, intimate and possess a rare magic. Some say it is the hand of Selati’s namesake, the legendary female chief of the ancient Thubela tribe, others, the gentle glow of the lamps. Whatever it is, it has made Selati Camp an essential pilgrimage for romantic souls far and wide.
Table Bay Hotel
The Table Bay offers the ultimate in 5-star luxury hotel accommodation in Cape Town. Considered to be the best address in Cape Town, this sophisticated Sun International property was opened in May 1997 by former South African president, Nelson Mandela. As part of the Sunlux Collection, The Table Bay continues to set its own standards in international service, cuisine and luxury.

Inspired by the boundless creative energy of the city that it calls home, The Table Bay offers unrivalled Victoria and Alfred Waterfront accommodation which celebrates Cape Town’s colourful cultural heritage, evocative romance and irresistible spirit of adventure. Straddling the working harbour and vibrant city bowl beneath the majestic zenith of Table Mountain, The Table Bay enjoys the best address in Cape Town, and invites you to discover an authentic South African 5-star experience in the Mother City.

Suggested Attire
Attire is casual and comfortable during the day, with safari-style neutral colored clothing, and comfortable, but sturdy, footwear for excursions. Evening wear consists of open-neck shirts, trousers, skirt, or similar attire. Light jacket or sweaters are advisable for cool evenings. Other items to consider: shorts, swimsuit, hat and rain jacket.
The local currency is the South African Rand, however USD are widely accepted. We recommend carrying local currency or small USD bills in good condition for small purchases. Credit cards are accepted at most higher end restaurants and hotels.
Dietary Requirements
We will make every effort to accommodate special dietary requests. Please inform our office at least 60 days prior to departure of these requests.
The South African electricity supply is 220/230 volts AC 50 HZ. Most plugs are 15 amp 3-prong(Plug M) or 5 amp 2-prong, with round pins. You will need a voltage converter and plug adapter in order to use U.S. appliances. We recommend getting a universal adapter and converter kit before your South African vacation. Guests should be sure to bring the appropriate converter for devices that are not dual voltage.
Gratuities are customary expressions of appreciation for a job well done. It is our goal to ensure that the service you receive is as wonderful as the sites you visit. While we have collected pre-paid gratuities with your reservation, at your own discretion you may choose to provide additional tips.
Insect Precautions
While you can expect to encounter insects during the program, most are relatively harmless. If you plan to be outside during the morning or evening hours, it is recommended to apply insect repellent, particularly to ankles and other exposed skin. Guests may wish to bring an insect repellent with DEET for use on excursions. White and black clothing attracts bugs and biting flies.
Passport and Visas Requirements
A passport, which is valid for six months after your last date of travel, is required. Multiple entry visas are also required for citizens of the US and Canada for Zimbabwe and Zambia. The visas may be obtained upon arrival into Zimbabwe. Visas are not required for US citizens for South Africa. Citizens of all other countries should check visa requirements with their nearest consulates of Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa.
Vaccination Requirements
In addition to routine vaccinations, it is recommended that most guests also get vaccinated or take medications for malaria, hepatitis A and typhoid. Some guests may also be at risk for hepatitis B, rabies and yellow fever. We recommend you consult a travel medicine specialist, who can provide advise and treatment tailored to your specific health condition.
